Stomach and midsectionRoyal Tunbridge Wells

Belly fat removal,
without surgery.

If your stomach has not followed the rest of you, it is not because you have not tried hard enough. Dieting shrinks fat cells. Fat freezing removes them from the area you point at, and they do not come back.

Why it will not shift

Stubborn stomach fat is a cell-count problem

Understanding this is the difference between years of frustration and treating the actual cause.

Fat cells shrink, they do not leave

Dieting reduces the size of your fat cells, not the number of them. The cells stay in place ready to refill, which is why the same area comes back first every time you slip.

You cannot choose where you lose

Where your body draws fat from is set by genetics and hormones, not by which muscle you train. Thousands of sit-ups build the muscle underneath and do nothing to the layer over it.

The lower stomach holds on longest

For most people the lower abdomen is the last place to change and the first to return, particularly after pregnancy, after significant weight loss, or through the menopause.

Which is exactly the gap this fills

Fat freezing removes the cells from the treated area, so there is nothing left there to refill. It is not a weight loss treatment, and that distinction is the whole point.

Suitability

Who this is for

Fat freezing is a contouring treatment, not a weight loss treatment. It works best when you are close to where you want to be.

  • You are close to your goal weight but the stomach has not followed.
  • You have lost weight, through diet, the gym or medication, and a pocket remains.
  • Your stomach changed after pregnancy and has not gone back.
  • You want the whole midsection treated evenly, not one patch frozen.

Belly fat removal, answered

Can you remove belly fat without surgery?
Yes. Cryolipolysis, or fat freezing, uses controlled cooling to crystallise fat cells beneath the skin, and your body clears them over the following weeks. There are no needles, no incisions, no anaesthetic and no downtime. It is not liposuction and it is not a weight loss treatment: it reduces the fat cells in a specific area you can point at.
How much belly fat can be removed?
The honest answer depends entirely on the area, which is why the assessment starts with a photograph. Fat freezing is designed to remove a stubborn pocket rather than to reduce your overall size, and a single course often achieves what a client wanted. If your goal needs more than the treatment can give, I will tell you that at the assessment instead of taking the booking.
Will the belly fat come back?
The treated fat cells are permanently gone and the treated area cannot rebuild them. Nothing stops you gaining weight elsewhere, and that part is up to you, but you will not refill the cells that were removed. That is the difference between changing the cell count and merely changing the cell size.
Is this better than a tummy tuck?
They are different treatments for different problems. Surgery removes loose skin as well as fat and involves anaesthetic, scarring and weeks of recovery. Fat freezing removes fat cells with no downtime, but it does not tighten significant loose skin. If skin laxity is your main concern I will say so, and radio frequency skin tightening is often the better companion.
How much does belly fat removal cost?
Treatments range from £175 to £500 depending on the area. The 6 Pack Fat Freeze®, which covers the whole midsection rather than a single patch, is £350 to £425 and is exclusive to this clinic. Send a photograph and you will have a fixed price within one working day.
