Does fat freezing hurt?

Most clients describe a firm pull and an intense cold at the start, then numbness as the area freezes. It is pain-free for most people. Pain thresholds differ, so tell me if anything is uncomfortable.

The first few minutes, when the suction and the cold are at their strongest. It fades as the area goes numb, which is why most people find the rest of the session easy.

Not in the way people expect. The area can be tender, slightly swollen or flushed for a day or two, like a firm pinch. Sensation can feel odd for a short while as it returns, and that is expected. The side effects page covers the rarer ones.

Both are cryolipolysis, so the sensations are broadly the same: a pull, then cold, then numbness. What differs is how the session is run and how well the person running it explains it beforehand, which is why I walk you through it before we start.

Tell me at the assessment. The health question on the form exists so I can say honestly whether the treatment is appropriate for you, and if it is not, that is a better outcome than booking you anyway.
