The Fat Freezing Specialist

Trilogy IceRoyal Tunbridge Wells

Laser Hair Removal in Tunbridge Wells

Long-term hair reduction for the face and body, using the Trilogy Ice laser with ice cooling. Every course starts with a free test patch, so I can see how your skin responds before I quote you anything.

The clinic is at Sandown Park in Royal Tunbridge Wells, within easy reach of Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Crowborough, Maidstone and the wider Kent and East Sussex area.

How laser works here

Laser is the one treatment on this site you cannot simply book a slot for, and the reason is worth thirty seconds of your time.

01

A free test patch first

The first appointment is a patch on the area you want treated, and it costs nothing. It tells me how your skin responds to the laser, and it tells you what the treatment actually feels like before you commit to anything.

02

I quote your area, then book you in

Laser works differently from everything else here. You cannot book sessions online yourself, because the price and the appointment length depend on the area and on how your hair responds. I quote it after the patch, then I book each session with you.

03

The price comes down as you go

As the hair thins, each session needs less time, so later sessions cost less than the first. Most clinics charge the same for every session in a course. I do not, and that is the part clients notice most.

What it is actually good for

Laser is sold on the promise of never shaving again. These are the parts of that promise I will stand behind.

  • Comfortable, with ice cooling built into the handpiece
  • Quick appointments for smaller areas like the upper lip
  • Assessed for your skin type at the test patch
  • Longer-lasting smoothness than waxing or shaving
  • Face, underarms, arms, chest, back, bikini and legs
  • A price that falls over the course, not a flat per-session fee

If you are tired of waxing

Waxing is a permanent appointment. Laser is a course with an end to it. Most people who switch say the same thing, which is that they wish they had done it years earlier.

If shaving leaves you sore

Regular shaving can leave irritation, ingrown hairs and a shadow under the skin. Reducing the hair itself is often the thing that settles it.

Face and neck

Upper lip, chin and jawline are quick appointments, and they are the areas people most often want dealt with discreetly. I treat them the same as any other area.

Before a holiday or a wedding

A course takes months, not weeks, so start well ahead if you have a date in mind. Tell me the date at your patch and I will tell you honestly whether the timing works.

Suitability

Who I will not treat

Laser is not suitable for everyone, and in a few of these cases it simply will not work. Tell me before we book and I will say so honestly.

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a recent tan, or you are using a sunbed
  • You are wearing fake tan on the area
  • You are taking a photosensitising medication
  • You have used Roaccutane recently
  • You have photosensitive epilepsy
  • You have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the area
  • You have waxed, plucked or epilated the area recently
  • You have a history of keloid scarring
  • The hair is grey, white or very fair

Free patch, then an honest quote

I do not publish a flat price for every area, because a full leg and an upper lip are not the same job. The patch is how I find out which one you need.

If you are already having another treatment here, say so at your patch. Sessions can be arranged around a course of fat freezing or pressotherapy rather than competing with it for your time.

The patch itself is the one part you can book yourself, because it is free and it commits you to nothing: book the free test patch. Everything after that I book with you.

Laser Hair Removal

£50

Sessions start from this, and the test patch before them is free. Your area is quoted in writing once I have seen how your skin and your hair respond.

  • The first appointment is a free test patch
  • Ice cooling during every session
  • I quote your area, then book each session with you
  • The price falls over the course as the area needs less time

Asked before the first patch

Straight answers, including the one about grey hair that most clinics leave until after you have paid.

What is laser hair removal?
A laser is passed over the skin and its energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. That heat damages the follicle, which reduces the hair over a course of sessions rather than all at once. I use the Trilogy Ice platform, which cools the skin as it works.
Is this the same as 3D Trilogy Ice laser hair removal?
Yes. Trilogy Ice is the laser platform, and it has been here since this was 3D Body Contouring, so plenty of clients still call it 3D Trilogy Ice. Same clinic, same specialist, same machine, under the new name.
Why is the first appointment free?
Because without it I cannot quote you honestly. The patch tells me how your skin reacts and how your hair responds to the laser. Only then can I tell you what your area needs and what it will cost. Charging for that would be charging you for my own uncertainty.
Why can't I book sessions online?
Because the price and the appointment length change as the course goes on. A single online price for every session would either overcharge you early or lose money later. So the patch is bookable online, and after that I quote your area and book each session with you directly.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the area, the hair and your hormones, which is why I will not put a number on it before seeing you. Hair grows in cycles and the laser only affects follicles in the active phase, so a course spread over months is normal. I will give you a realistic estimate at your test patch.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe it as a warm flick against the skin. The Trilogy Ice handpiece cools as it goes, which takes most of the sting out of it. If an area is more sensitive than I expect, I adjust rather than pushing on.
Does it work on grey or white hair?
No. The laser needs pigment in the hair to absorb the energy, so grey, white and very fair hair will not respond. I would rather tell you that at the patch than take your money for a course that cannot work.
What about sun and fake tan?
Both need to be clear before a session. Recent sun exposure or a fake tan changes how the laser behaves on your skin, and treating over either risks burning you. Tell me at your patch and I will explain what to avoid and for how long.
How much does it cost?
The test patch is free, and sessions start from £50. The price for your area is confirmed in writing after the patch, and it comes down over the course as the area needs less time.

Not sure whether laser will work on your hair?

Send a photo or a short note. I will tell you honestly whether your hair and skin are right for it, before you book anything.
