FAQ
Every question, answered straight
The questions clients ask before they book, answered the way we would answer them in the room.
Does fat freezing actually work?
Yes, and I was sceptical myself before I started. When I was first introduced to the technology I did not believe the claims, so I trialled it properly. What convinced me was measurable change on real clients: visible reduction on love handles, inner thighs and lower stomach, photographed at every stage in the same conditions. Cryolipolysis is not a weight loss treatment and it will not work on everyone or every area, which is exactly why the assessment is free and honest. Hundreds of client results are published on the results page so you can judge for yourself. There is a longer answer on the Does fat freezing work page.
Is fat freezing safe?
Cryolipolysis is a non-surgical treatment using medically approved technology, with no needles, no anaesthetic and no incisions. The controlled cooling targets fat cells while leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected. Most people experience nothing worse than temporary redness, numbness or tenderness in the treated area for a few days. Suitability is confirmed at your free assessment, and there are conditions where I will tell you the treatment is not appropriate for you. Typical effects are covered on the Fat freezing side effects page.
How long does fat freezing take to work?
Your body clears the treated fat cells gradually, so this is not an overnight change. Most clients begin to notice a difference from around four weeks, with the fuller result developing over about twelve weeks. That is why the formal review is at twelve weeks: it is the point at which the treated area has settled and we can honestly judge whether a second step would add anything.
Which is better, cavitation or fat freezing?
They do different jobs, which is why I offer both. Fat freezing removes fat cells from a defined pocket and suits a stubborn area that holds its shape, such as a lower stomach or love handles. Cavitation uses ultrasound and is better for reducing circumference across a broader area, measured in inches rather than pounds. For many clients the strongest result comes from combining them, and that is a judgement I make from your photo at the assessment rather than something you should have to work out yourself.
How much does fat freezing cost?
Fat freezing treatments range from £175 to £500, depending on the area being treated. Our signature 6 Pack Fat Freeze is £350 to £425 and is exclusive to this clinic. To recommend the best option for you, we just need to see the area you would like to target, as everybody stores fat differently. Most clients send a photo and receive a fixed price within one working day.
Do you guarantee results?
Yes, for qualifying clients. I am confident in the protocol, which is why qualifying clients are backed by a results guarantee that almost no other clinic offers. The terms are confirmed at your assessment, in writing. Suitability still comes first: if I do not think the treatment will work for your area, I will tell you that rather than book you.
Does the fat come back?
Once the treated fat cells have left the body, they are permanently gone. Nothing can stop you gaining weight elsewhere, and that would be up to you to manage, but the treated area cannot rebuild the cells that were removed. That is why fat freezing is different from dieting: it changes the cell count, not just the cell size.
How do I know which treatment I need?
Send a photo of the area and we will assess it. After 15 years specialising in fat freezing, I can see from a picture exactly which option is most likely to give you the best outcome, and we will tell you honestly, including if fat freezing is not the right tool.
Does fat freezing hurt?
Most clients describe a firm pull and an intense cold at the start of the treatment, then numbness as the area freezes. It is pain-free for most people, and there is no downtime afterwards. You can return to work and normal life on the same day.
How does fat freezing work?
Cryolipolysis uses controlled cooling to crystallise the fat cells beneath the skin. Over the following weeks, your body naturally processes and removes them. Fewer treated fat cells in the area means it looks leaner and more contoured, and those treated cells are permanently gone.
When will I see results?
The treated cells are cleared over the following weeks, and the area continues to settle until the 12-week follow-up. Many clients achieve their desired result in a single session. If additional treatment is needed, you can simply return after 12 weeks for a further assessment and treatment if required.
Is there any downtime?
No. The treatment is non-surgical and there is no recovery period. Some clients notice temporary redness or sensitivity in the treated area for a few days, which is normal and part of the process.
Am I suitable for fat freezing?
Fat freezing is designed for people who are close to their goal weight but carry stubborn fat that diet and exercise have not shifted. It is not a weight loss treatment, and we will tell you at your assessment if another approach would serve you better.
Where is the clinic based?
The clinic is at Sandown Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN2 4RP, with sessions Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Weekends are closed. As the only clinic in the UK offering our exclusive Six Pack Protocol, clients regularly travel from across the country to be treated.
